Personal E-mail on BlackBerry® add-on
If you have a BlackBerry® smartphone, choose the following add-on for unlimited access to e-mail and instant messaging.
If you want to use your BlackBerry® smartphone to browse the Web, access communities like FacebookTM and MySpace, or use other applications, select an add-on. These add-ons give you large data buckets for all your e-mail, instant messaging and Internet needs.

Unlimited mobile browsing add-on
Includes unlimtied on-device mobile browsing, excluding tethering (use of device as wireless modem) on select Fido certified devices. Usage subject to Fido terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, Fido.ca/terms. Data transmission charges of 3¢/KB apply when roaming.
What is included in the Unlimited mobile browsing add-on
This add-on includes Unlimited browsing on your Fido phone. It is only available on select phones (Windows Mobile® devices, Laptop Internet devices and non-Fido certified phones are not eligible).
Using non-Fido (3rd party) applications that you have downloaded to your phone. Use of applications supplied by the phone manufacturer that are pre-loaded on to your phone. 3rd party applications are applications like:
- RoadSynch Email
- Yahoo! GO
- WorldMate
- GPS/Location
- Productivity
- Nokia Internet
What is not included in the Unlimited mobile browsing add-on
Tethering — Tethering is when you use your phone as a wireless modem to connect to the Internet via a laptop. The phone can be connected via USB cable or Bluetooth. Once connected, you can access the Internet wirelessly on your laptop using the Fido wireless network.
Laptop Internet device usage — A Laptop Internet device works like a wireless modem for Internet access via a laptop. You can choose a Laptop Internet device instead of tethering your Fido phone.
Data roaming charges apply, in addition to regular subscription fees when accessing the mobile Internet while roaming outside the Fido GPRS/EDGE/3G network.
The Data add-ons, the Flexible rate add-on are applicable to the following data usage:
- Accessing the Internet using the built in browser of any Fido phone, Fido device or phones not certified by Fido
- Using your phone as a wireless modem to access the Internet via a laptop (Tethering).
- Using a Laptop Internet device for Internet access via a laptop.
- Using non-Fido (3rd party) applications that you have downloaded to your phone. 3rd party applications are applications like Opera Mini browser or Google Maps.
Data add-ons
Add-ons apply within Canada. While roaming outside Canada, the rate of 3¢ per KB applies, except for customers with a Data add-on, for which a rate of $0.006 per KB or customers with a Flexible rate add-on, for which a rate of $0.003 per KB is applicable in the U.S. only. Available without a monthly airtime package.
Most popular domains include Windows Live™ Mail, Gmail™ and Rogers™ Yahoo!® and other popular e-mail services.
US data rate add-on
This add-on is non-pro-rateable.
The International Roaming add-on and the International Data add-on must remain active on your account for a minimum of three months. A subscription to the International Data add-on requires a subscription to the International Roaming add-on for the same region.
DataTracker: Text messages are sent to the customer as information only, and the customer is billed for data usage regardless of whether or not the warning text messages are received. Fido does not guarantee that the service will work without interruption. Notifications may be delayed if the phone is turned off or when you are outside of the country.
Data usage exceeding the amount included in your data add-on (but excluding usage while roaming or while using subscription based or pay-per-use applications, which are subject to additional charges) will be charged at the applicable overage rate for your data add-on up to a maximum of $100 less the monthly service fee for your data add-on. Applies to new data add-on subscriptions only, whether subscribed as a standalone add-on or as part of a value pack or plan.
Personal E-mail on BlackBerry® add-on includes unlimited personal e-mail (up to 10 e-mail accounts) and Instant Messaging with a BlackBerry smartphone on the Fido network. Visit fido.ca/dataoptions for details. All other data usage will be unavailable on your device with this add-on, which cannot be combined with a Data add-on. While roaming in the U.S., data transmission charges of 0.6¢ per KB apply. While roaming internationally, data transmission charges of 3¢ per KB apply. Usage subject to the Fido Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy, available at fido.ca/terms.
For data usage up to 10 GB/month, data usage exceeding the amount included in your Data add-on (but exceeding usage while using a subscription based pay-per-use applications, which are subject to additional charges) will be charged at theapplicableoverage rate for your Data add-on up to a maximum of 100$ less the monthly service fee for your Data add-on.
