All you need is a high-speed Internet connection (min. 512kbs), a wireless router (try Fido’s router, optimized for voice usage), a monthly FIDO UNO add-on and a FIDO UNO compatible phone
At home
You can make unlimited local calls through your wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi) freeing up regular monthly minutes.
Away from home Your Fido switches seamlessly to the Fido network and you can start using the minutes in your monthly plan.
Now that you have all you need to get started, you'll have to configure your Fido phone and router to start enjoying this service. But don't worry. We've broken it down for you in a few easy steps.
This is the first step to using your service. You can use a generic router, or a Fido router for its many advantages. Once your router is set up, your FIDO UNO compatible phone will automatically detect and connect to the router. Just follow these easy steps:
1. Make sure you're not missing anything.

Power adapter
Ethernet cable (2 m)
2. Run the setup CD.
Insert the CD into your computer and follow the onscreen instructions. When you reach the end of the setup process, DO NOT click on Finish. Go to Step 3.
3. Enable the wireless security on your router.
Now that your router is connected to the Internet, you should secure your FIDO UNO service by enabling the wireless security of the router.
Click on Security Settings on the last screen of the router installation CD.
Follow the onscreen instructions to secure your phone connection to the FIDO UNO service created by the router.
Your router setup is now complete. Now, all you have to do is set up your Fido phone, and you're ready to go!

First, make sure you've added the FIDO UNO add-on to your monthly plan. Then, once you've connected your router to your high-speed service, you must connect your phone to your router. Using a Fido router is optimal - it has many advantages for you to get the most out of your service.
Using a FIDO UNO router:
Use the Easy Key to quickly connect your phone by following these steps:
Connect the router to your high-speed Internet service.
Insert your smart (SIM) card into your fully charged Fido.
From your phone menu, select Settings, Wi-Fi, and then Security Key.
Follow the instructions.
Save the profile.
Fido recommends that you provide Fido Customer Service with your 911 emergency contact information.
Using any other wireless router
A generic wireless router won't have the benefits of an Easy Key connection with a Fido router but can be connected to your FIDO UNO compatible phone.
Follow these easy steps.
Connect your router to your high-speed Internet service.
Insert your smart (SIM) card into your fully charged Fido.
From your phone menu, select Settings, Wi-Fi, and then Available Networks.
Select your network.
Enter your wireless security key (Fido recommends that you use wireless security).
Follow the instructions.
Save the profile.
Fido recommends that you provide Fido Customer Service with your 911emergency contact information.

The FIDO UNO add-on at $10 per month includes unlimited local calls made and received when connected to the wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi) and the 5 p.m. Early Evenings add-on. Canadian, U.S. and international long-distance calls are not included with this add-on and will be charged as per the current long-distance rates with your Fido service. The FIDO UNO add-on at $15 per month includes the 5 p.m. Early Evenings add-on and unlimited local calls and Canadian long-distance calls made and received when connected to the wireless Internet connection (Wi-Fi). With this add-on, long-distance calls made from Canada to the U.S. when connected to the wireless Internet connection will be charged at 10¢ per minute (30 seconds minimum). International long-distance calls are not included. Usage of Text, Picture Video (MMS) and Instant Messaging, as well as data transmission and any other additional services selected is not included and will be billed as per the current rates with your Fido service.Taxes are not included.
Calls initiated on Fido's network (when not connected to the Wi-Fi network) will be billed in accordance with your monthly airtime plan.

Customers purchasing a FIDO UNO router ($80+taxes) with subscription to a FIDO UNO add-on will receive a $80 credit (excluding applicable taxes) on their second invoice after purchase. Customers must keep the FIDO UNO add-on activated for 90 consecutive days, otherwise, the $80 credit will be charged back to their account. No credit will be offered for applicable sale taxes.
Emergency 911 Information: The FIDO UNO service offers a form of emergency 911 service that is an extension of our wireless 911 service. 911 calls made, even when in range of the router, will be routed and responded to as a wireless 911 call in accordance with all wireless 911 regulations and subject to the limitations described in the Fido Terms and Conditions. In the rare case where the 911 calls will be routed via the router, emergency personnel will not receive your physical location information. As such, you should be prepared to provide or confirm your address and call-back number with the 911 operator. In case you are unable to verbally provide your geographic location to the 911 emergency service personnel, Fido strongly recommends that you provide a 911 emergency address corresponding to the address you will be installing the router and using the service. Contact one of our Customer Service representatives at 1 888 481-3436. The address you provide us may be used to locate a 911 emergency call while using the service at that location. If you relocate your router, Fido strongly recommends that you provide your new street address at the time of the change. When you select and use the FIDO UNO service and/or device and any router, you acknowledge and agree to the above, including the emergency 911 information and limitations, as part of your Fido Service Agreement and Fido Terms and Conditions. FIDO UNO service is powered by Rogers. FIDO UNO is available in Canada only.
