Send a birthday greeting to grandma, let your parents know you'll be home late or even text your sweetheart goodnight easily and discreetly. You can now send a text message to people who aren't connected to a mobile phone. With Text to home phone, the text messages you send to a landline will be automatically converted to a voice message for the recipient to pick up.
How it works
- Write your text message exactly the same way you would write a text message to be sent to a mobile phone (maximum 160 characters).
- Enter the recipient's 10-digit landline number (with area code).
- Press Send.
- The recipient's phone will ring and when it's answered, your text message will automatically be read (and your song will be played if you added one). At the end of the message, the recipient will be given the option of replying to the message by recording a voice message.
- You'll then receive a text message telling you that you've received a reply. To listen to it, call the toll-free number that appears in the text message.
