How to get started
Phones with IM preloaded
- Go to your MAIN or MESSAGING or GAMES & APPLICATIONS folder
- Click On Fido IM
- Select either Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo Messenger
- Sign in. Start sending and receiving IM messages at the pay-per-use rate.
For download phones
- From a compatible phone, launch your mobile Internet browser. Select
Messaging, then Instant Messaging, and follow the steps to download the
IM application.
- Select Pricing.
- Select Continue to see the confirmation page.
- Select Accept.
- Then, select Download the IM application for free and follow the instructions to install the Fido IM application on your Fido phone.
- Select the IM icon from your phone’s menu, sign in and start sending and
receiving IM messages.
To change your subscription type
- Launch the Mobile Internet Browser on your phone
- Go to Email and IM. Go to Fido Instant Messaging
- Change Subscription Type from 'Pay per msg' to '$5/Mth for Unlimited IM'
- Confirm Changes and exit the browser
- Launch Fido IM and Sign in. Start sending and receiving IM Messages.
