Best of all of these features are available at no additional cost for any Fido wireless customer, whether you are using text messaging on a pay-per-use basis or as part of the messaging allowance in your plan or add-on1.

Out of town or can't reply to your text messages? Set up an auto reply message that will automatically be sent to anyone who texts you. |
Cost: Each auto reply message sent will be taken out of your plan/add-on or a standard text message rate will apply. |
| Blocker |
Block text messages from an unwanted source. Owners of the mobile numbers that you block will not be notified that you blocked their number. |
Cost : No charge |
| Copy |
Automatically send copies of your text messages to another wireless phone or an email address for safekeeping. That way you have a record of the chat in case you need to look up a detail or you've forgotten what was said. |
Cost: Each message copied to another wireless number or email will be taken out of your text plan/add-on or you will be charged the standard text message rate for each message copied |
| Forward |
Similar to call forwarding, with Extreme Text Messaging you can now automatically forward all text messages to another wireless phone number. Perfect, if you carry a business and a personal phone and only want to carry one with you for the weekend. Note you will not receive messages on the phone you are forwarding from until you turn off the feature. |
Cost: Each message forwarded will be taken out of your text plan/add-on or you will be charged a standard text message rate for each message forwarded. |
| Distribution Lists |
Need to send one text to a group of people? Similar to email, Extreme Text Messaging lets you create distribution lists for groups you communicate with often, so you can quickly message everyone at once, rather than having to add each recipient to a message one by one each time you send a text. |
Cost: Each message to each recipient will be taken out of your text plan/add-on, or you'll be charged a standard text message rate for each recipient of the message. For example, a text sent to three contacts will be charged as three text messages or the message will be taken from your text plan or add-on. A recipient will only be able to reply to the sender. |
| Personal Signature |
Personalize your texts by automatically adding a personal signature such as your nickname, job title or your favourite quote to each text you send. |
Cost: No charge to set up a signature, but the characters used for your signature count against the total 160-character limit. |
