How to purchase a Data Day or Data Week Pass:
Pre-purchase while still on Fido’s Network:

1. Text ‘Travel’ to 7626 or visit http://www.fido.ca/m/roam on your mobile device browser.
2. All pre-purchased Roaming Data Passes only become active upon using data services while roaming in the respective region that the Data Pass is applicable for (IE: US data roaming usage will trigger the activation of a US Roaming Data Pass).
3. The activation of your Roaming Data Pass will be confirmed via a text message.
4. All pre-purchased Roaming Data Passes expire after 30 days if still not activated.
Purchase while Roaming:

1. When you arrive at your destination, your mobile device will receive a text message from Fido notifying you that you are roaming. It also provides applicable roaming rates, useful information and a link to purchase discounted roaming offers (link is free).
2. Follow the prompts on your mobile device browser to purchase the Roaming Data Day or Week Pass that suits your needs.
3. You will receive a text message confirming your purchase.
4. If you exceed your time or data limit you will automatically be presented with the option to purchase another roaming data day/week pass before you can continue to use data services on your device.

- Includes on-device mobile browsing, email, Instant Messaging, and application usage, excluding tethering (use as wireless modem), on select Fido-certified devices.
- Roaming Data Day Pass is valid from the time of activation for 24 hours or until the data limit for the Day Pass purchased is reached, whichever is earlier. For example, if the Day Pass was activated at 10:00 AM EST and you have not used all of the included data, then it will expire on the following day at 10:00 AM EST.

All calls made or received in the U.S. are billed on a per-minute basis. Picture messages can be exchanged between customers of any Canadian wireless provider as well as with Sprint/Nextel, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
Calls to toll-free numbers, i.e.: 1-800, 1-888 and others, may incur airtime and long distance charges applied by the local carrier, over and above any applicable pay per use roaming charges; this usage is not covered by any Roaming Voice Travel Packs or Voice Add-ons. The long distance charge corresponds to a connection fee applied by the local carrier used to place the call.
The U.S. add-ons apply to airtime and long-distance charges for calls made and received within the United States and back to Canada. International calls made while roaming in the U.S. are not included in the roaming add-ons. The customer will be billed based on the U.S. provider international calling rates. Charges apply for additional minutes. Some restrictions apply.
