Picture and Video Messaging (MMS)

Picture and Video Messaging (MMS) allows you to send and receive pictures and videos between wireless phones and even send pictures to an email address. Learn what Picture and Video Messaging (MMS) is and how much it costs.

If your Fido phone is not MMS-compatible, you won’t be able to send or receive an MMS. Find out whether your phone is compatible.

Things to Know

  • If the memory of your phone is full, you are outside the service zone or your phone is turned off, the system will send the message in queue every 15 minutes during the first hour, and then once every hour for the next three days. The message will then be automatically deleted and will not be sent.
  • The maximum size is 300 KB. Some phones may support less.
  • For blocked numbers, the sender’s telephone number will appear in the message even if the number is blocked or confidential.
  • If your phone is not MMS compatible you'll get a text message with a password that will direct you to fido.ca in order to see the message you received.
