Picture and Video Messaging (MMS) allows you to send and receive pictures and videos between wireless phones and even send pictures to an email address. Learn what Picture and Video Messaging (MMS) is and how much it costs.
If your Fido phone is not MMS-compatible, you won’t be able to send or receive an MMS. Find out whether your phone is compatible.
Things to Know
- If the memory of your phone is full, you are outside the service zone or your phone is turned off, the system will send the message in queue every 15 minutes during the first hour, and then once every hour for the next three days. The message will then be automatically deleted and will not be sent.
- The maximum size is 300 KB. Some phones may support less.
- For blocked numbers, the sender’s telephone number will appear in the message even if the number is blocked or confidential.
- If your phone is not MMS compatible you'll get a text message with a password that will direct you to fido.ca in order to see the message you received.
- Before to send a picture or video to an international number, consult the list of selected international destinations.

How to use Picture and Video Messaging (MMS)
Sending a picture or video message from your camera
- Refer to your phone’s User guide to see how to take send a picture or video
- Enter the 10-digit wireless number or the email address.
- Press SEND

Sending a picture or video message from your album
- Select Messages from your phone’s main menu.
- Select Picture Message (or a similar option like MMS or Multimedia Message).
- Select Insert and choose the picture you want to send.
- Enter the recipient’s 10-digit wireless number or his email address and press Send.
To receive
- The MMS will arrive in your MMS or SMS inbox.
- Select the item and press Open.

Using Picture and Video Messaging while travellingIn Canada on the Fido network:
- You can use Picture and Video Messaging anywhere on the Fido network.
While in the U.S. or Internationally:
- The service can be used across most of the U.S and can be used abroad on certain networks only.
