It's important to us that our customers enjoy a safe and secure online experience. Recently, you may have received an important security message about your Fido Internet service. The following are details about a security message, along with recommended steps to resolve it,

Security message: We have received complaints about harassing, unsolicited and/or abusive emails sent from your Fido Internet connection.

This type of activity is in violation of the Fido Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy., If you receive this message, please take make sure that your Fido account isn’t used in this manner by anyone who has access to your device(s) or network. 

If you’re unaware of this activity, your device or network may be infected with Malware. This allows  users to access your device remotely.

  1. Perform a complete system scan with an anti-virus software. If your anti-virus software doesn't find any viruses or malware, your system is likely still infected.
  2. Consult with a reputable computer support service.
