FIDO WITH CARE
CREATING CHANGE FROM THE INSIDE OUT
When we set out to find amazing people who spread positivity and inspire change, we didn’t have to look very far. We found people everywhere, across Canada, taking positive action in their communities, in their businesses and in themselves to improve consciousness, education and well-being. Even our own employees are a source of inspiration, affecting change from the inside out.
CLOSE TO HOME
Some of the most inspiring small businesses are right around the corner. See what you’ve been missing in your neighbourhood with stories from owners, creators and community movers.
Meet Tomika Long, creator of Zee-Zee’s World, whose puzzles help create a safe space for children to engage in difficult conversations through puzzles and the power of play.
Sandra Hamilton started SDHtoronto in response to a lack of Black conscious clothing in Canada. She’s filling that void herself with their trademark, Black Intelligence (sometimes as 8L4CK 1N73LL163NCE) and encouraging others to buy Black.

PRIDE AT WORK
Every day at Fido is Pride. We want our employees to be their best selves, and that starts with just being themselves. It means being allowed and empowered to speak up, to be included and to feel accepted.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE WE’VE MADE SO FAR, WITH CARE
Fido With Care supports our amazing partners across Canada, who provide critically important services. We’re proud of everyone who steps up to help, from the volunteers, those who donate, and those who find other ways to get involved. If you’re able and wish to contribute, please join us in helping our partners:
STORIES FROM ACROSS CANADA
“At the very beginning of the COVID crisis, Fido stepped up and offered 10 cell phones to our staff. This connected our community members who would not have been able to access LGBTQ specific services and support. ” - Lisa Duplessis, Director, Operations at The 519
“We are grateful for the generosity and show of support by Fido enabling health and wellness to our LGBTQ2S+ community members. We have scheduled [meetings] and are so looking forward to reconnecting. Thank you, Fido, for having pride and respect in our quest for equality, free of discrimination.” - Carolyn Hill
“[This donation] will allow virtual peer-support sessions to this vulnerable community who needs it now more than ever due to an increase in isolation. Thank you for recognizing the needs of our LGBTQ2S community and for providing practical ways for us to bridge the digital divide.” - Cyndi Sweeney, Chapter Leader
