Head’s up! To qualify for a prepaid card, you will need to activate an eligible device on an eligible plan.

When will I receive my Fido Visa Prepaid Card?

After you purchase an eligible phone, you’ll receive your prepaid card in the mail within 30 business days.

What amount will be loaded onto my Fido Visa Prepaid Card?

The bonus value loaded onto your prepaid card will vary according to which eligible phone you select. 

If you made your purchase in-store, you’ll receive an informative take-away card with important details about your prepaid card, including its value.

How do I activate my Fido Visa Prepaid Card?

Getting started is easy. To activate your card:

  1. Go to myprepaidcenter.com.
  2. Enter your prepaid card’s 16-digit card number, its expiration date and the 3-digit security code on the back of the card.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your user profile.

Bear in mind, you’ll also receive step-by-step activation instructions with your card.

Does the card expire?

Yes. The card will expire at midnight ET on the last day of the month shown on the front of the card, 12 months after its issue date.

I’m having trouble activating my card. What should I do?

It's been more than 30 business days and I still haven't received my card. What should I do?

We’re sorry to hear that. Reach out to a Fido agent at 1-888-481-3436; we’ll send a request to look into your card’s status.

Where can I use my card?

Your Fido Visa Prepaid Card can be used everywhere Visa cards are accepted, except at fuel pumps and ATMs.

My Fido Visa Prepaid Card was declined. What should I do?

Here are some of the more common reasons for a card being declined.

  1. Card was swiped for more than the card balance.
  2. Card was used at a fuel pump or ATM.
  3. Card was not activated before use.
  4. Card was swiped as debit without creating a PIN.

Is this a credit card?

Nope. It’s a prepaid reward card. Using it will not affect your credit rating.

What cool things can my card do?

Your Fido Visa Prepaid Card has some great features. For instance, your card will give you 5% back on purchases made at select merchants in Canada.
