What kind of phone do I need to work with the Home Phone device?
No. The Home Phone device is a voice solution and therefore does not require any connection to a broadband Internet service. The Home Phone operates on the Fido wireless network.

How do I install the Home Phone device?

Will the Home Phone device work in areas with no or low signal strength?
No. The Home Phone does require a strong signal in order for the service to work. It is recommended to put your device close to a window to ensure the best possible voice quality.
First time set-up

Can I get Call Display on this device?
The Home Phone service only supports calling number identification. However, contact names stored on your home phone equipment may display for incoming calls.
My reception isn't very strong, what can I do to improve it?
The Home Phone device provides the best voice quality when it is installed near a window or outside wall. If the signal strength indicator on the Home Phone device does not display high signal strength (green) or voice quality is not optimal, you may need to relocate the device to another part of the home with a stronger signal.

2. Call Forwarding includes up to 2,500 minutes to Canadian numbers.
3. Available only to existing Fido customers with a monthly plan including voice services with an invoice (prepaid and data-only plans excluded). Corded or cordless landline home phone equipment is not included. Not compatible with services including but not limited to wireless messaging and data services, fax service, medical alert systems, medical monitoring systems, credit card machines, IP/PBX Phone systems, or dial-up Internet service.
